Nicolas Uribe is a Colombian-born filmmaker based in Montreal. Currently studying at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema, his latest Short Film Bande de Loups (2025)for which he took on the role of co-director as well as Cinematographer, was selected at the Fantasia Film Festival (2025) and won Best College film at FICE UDEM (2025).​ During his time studying cinema-communications at Dawson College, he was the proud recipient of the Glay Sperling Award (2023) and the Jeff Barnaby Filmmaking Award (2024). 

Both as a director and as a cinematographer, Nicolas works to find unique ways in which the image and story can work hand in hand. Storytelling and the script are the principal motivations for any visual decision. Not shying away from the emotional or the intense, he works in intimate collaboration with filmmakers to create films that push the boundaries of visual language and ignite his passion for the medium.

He is currently in Pre-production on a Colombian-Canadian short film Carroñeros  (Vultures)
